Maya Jamaleddine
Maya Jamaleddine is the Director of Youth and Community Programs at the Methuen Youth and Community Center, where she is dedicated to creating inclusive, engaging, and impactful programs that empower young people and strengthen the community. With a deep passion for equity and justice, Maya brings years of experience in leadership, advocacy, and program development to her role. In addition to her work at the center, Maya serves as a Melrose City Councilor At-Large and has been a dedicated community leader for years. She previously served on the Melrose Human Rights Commission for five years, advocating for policies and initiatives that promote inclusivity and address systemic barriers. As a seasoned DEI facilitator and consultant, she supports organizations in fostering meaningful change through data-driven strategies, dialogue, and addressing root causes. Maya’s professional journey began at Tufts Medical Center, and she holds a degree in Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University. She is also the founder of her own DEI consultancy, where she provides training and facilitation to advance equity and organizational change. A proud Muslim immigrant and devoted mother of four, Maya is deeply committed to building communities where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to thrive. In her free time, Maya enjoys music, cooking, and swimming.
